Colorline, Smyril Line, Fjordline and P&O Ferries Scotland are the four companies responsible for operating sailings from Bergen Port.
All four companies are well established and reputable and operate ferry crossings to and from a variety of other destinations.
P&O Ferries Scotland
P&O Ferries has an international reputation for quality service and efficiency. The company operates a vast number of ferry services to destinations throughout Europe. Their service from Bergen to Lerwick operates three times per week with onboard facilities including: cabins, television lounges, restaurants, shops and entertainment such as video games.
Colorline
Colorline is a well established ferry company operating seven international cruise ferry routes between ten ports in Denmark, Germany, Norway and Sweden. The company has a total of ten ships in its fleet, all of which are equipped with comprehensive passenger facilities including: lounge areas, shops and restaurants, spas, casinos, theatres, arcades and play areas for young children.
Smyril Line
Smyril Line is based at Bergen and provides sailings from Bergen to Lerwick in the UK, Torshaven in the Faroe Islands and Seysdisfjordur in Iceland. The company is significantly smaller than the others and provides very limited services. The MF Norröna has the capacity for 1,050 passengers and 300 cars.
Fjordline
Fjordline operates the Bergen to Newcastle route, which calls at Haugesund and Stavanger on the way. The company has three vessels, all of which have excellent onboard facilities and operates up to three sailings per week along this route.
